Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
1. Who we are
Kashout ("Kashout," "we," "us") is a sole proprietorship based in California. This
policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions:
kashoutanalytics@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, a securely hashed password, and profile details you choose
to add (username, bio, avatar, interests).
- Activity you create: the signals, "takes," posts, captions, comments, and follows you make in the
app.
- Technical and usage data: your IP address (used for security and country-level analytics), basic
device and browser information, and a login session cookie so you stay signed in.
- Direct messages: messages you send to other users through the app are stored so they can be
delivered and read.
- Push notification details: if you turn on phone alerts, we store the notification endpoint and keys
your browser gives us for that device, so we can send you alerts when your signals fire. You can turn this
off at any time in your browser or in Settings.
- Discord support tickets: if you open a support ticket, we store your Discord ID, Discord username,
and the subject of your ticket so we can track and answer it.
- Payment information: payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited billing
details such as your plan and whether a payment succeeded.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, secure, and operate the service, and to keep you signed in.
- To personalize your experience and show your activity in social features.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
- To process subscriptions and billing (through Stripe).
- To understand usage, improve Kashout, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Cookies
We use a first-party login/session cookie so the site can keep you signed in. We do not use third-party
advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run Kashout, with service providers that process it on our
behalf, such as:
- Stripe (payment processing, subscriptions, and the billing portal);
- our hosting provider (Railway) which stores the app and database;
- Discord, which hosts our community and support channel. If you open a ticket, its contents live on
Discord's servers, and we send ourselves operational notices there (for example that a signup or a
subscription happened, with your email address partially masked);
- ip-api.com, an IP-geolocation lookup used to record the country an account signed up from;
- the push delivery service built into your browser (such as Google, Apple, or Mozilla) if you enable
phone alerts.
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. To have
your account deleted, email us or open a ticket in our Discord and we will delete or de-identify your personal
information within 30 days, except where we must keep records to comply with the law (for example, payment
records Stripe is required to retain).
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords and restricting access. No
method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
You can access and correct your profile information in the app. To delete your account or request a copy of
your personal information, open a ticket in our Discord or email us at
kashoutanalytics@gmail.com to request access to or deletion of your
personal information. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional
rights, such as the right to know, delete, correct, or opt out. We do not sell personal information, and we will
not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children
Kashout is for adults and is not intended for anyone under 18, and in no case for anyone under 13. We do not
knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we
will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to
notify you and will update the date above.
